The Cayman Islands Directors Association is an association of individuals who hold office as directors of one or more Cayman Islands registered companies.
Each member is an employee of a Cayman financial services company licensed and regulated by the Cayman Islands Monetary Authority or is an individual whose membership has been sponsored by at least two such members.
The purpose of the Association is to promote and safeguard the interests of directors of Cayman Islands registered companies and to define a code of conduct and best practice for its members which will ensure corporate governance of the highest standard thereby further strengthening the integrity of the Cayman Islands financial services sector.
The Association, organised and run exclusively by directors of Cayman Islands companies, guarantees its members their own collective independent voice in all matters concerning corporate governance and board room matters and in all sectors of the Cayman Islands financial industry.
The Cayman Islands Directors Association formed 17 March 2008, temporary executive committee appointed.
First AGM held 27th May 2008, 103 founding members appoint executive committee for the ensuing year.
19th June 2008, Tim Ridley, Chairman of CIMA addresses membership at association luncheon.
